urope should integrate Ukraine’s battlefield experience into its own security framework and begin deeper cooperation with Kyiv, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said during a joint press conference in Kyiv with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha, according to Ukrinform.
“We must fundamentally rethink what we are doing in cooperation with Ukraine in the field of security. This is not just about continuing to support Ukraine in defending the continent or about providing the necessary resources. We must change the paradigm — how we engage and work together with Ukraine. We must integrate what you are doing with what we are doing,” Budrys stated.
The Lithuanian minister explained that this integration should include counter-drone operations, air defense, and the coordination of all systems, taking into account the challenges faced by NATO, Lithuania, and Ukraine’s other neighbors.
“We must come here, learn, bring the experience to other countries and expand these capabilities,” he added.
Budrys arrived in Ukraine on Friday, 19 September, for official talks on strengthening security cooperation.
