Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko rewarded 108 servicemen who fought in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
On Facebook, the President praised a 22-year-old Lieutenant, Fedir Karakonstandin “who was the commander of the paratrooper’s platoon of the 25th Ukrainian separate airborne brigade of the Air Assault Forces.”
The President further explained that Fedir fought in eastern Ukraine since March 2017. The young man showed discipline, a sense of initiative, and proved to be very responsible when fulfilling his duty. Sadly though, “the lieutenant’s life was taken by the enemy.”
Fedir Karakonstandin was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of III degree.
