President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the situation in the Middle East has demonstrated the difficulty of providing full protection against missiles and “Shaheds” even in countries that have higher-quality air defense systems than Ukraine. At the same time, Ukraine is ready to help partner countries with its experience in countering enemy attacks, UATV English reports.

“From the situation in the Middle East, one can see how difficult it is to provide 100% protection against missiles and ‘Shaheds,’ even in the Gulf countries, which have more advanced air defense systems than those provided to us so far by our partners, and a greater number of such systems. Even there, not all ballistic missiles are intercepted. There are also ‘Shaheds’ that regional air defense systems failed to stop.

Everyone sees that our experience in defense is in many ways indispensable. We are ready to share this experience, ready to help those nations that helped Ukraine this winter and throughout this war,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy stressed that “Europe must nevertheless ensure real strength for itself, a real capability to protect its sky, its land, its sea from any types of attacks. In particular, for this it is necessary to build sufficient production capacity for air defense — against drones and against ballistic missiles.”

The president added that Ukraine is carefully monitoring every change in the situation around Iran and is coordinating with partners.

“It is important that this opportunity for change for Iran is used properly. The Iranian people have long been essentially alone against violence, against the Iranian regime. This regime, which killed tens of thousands of its own citizens just in recent months, which has always supported and organized wars in the region, which supplied Russia with ‘Shaheds’ and the technology for their production — this regime itself has determined the attitude toward it. It is important that there is a clear position in support of people and life, and it is important that American resolve, and the resolve of everyone in the world, truly work,” Zelenskyy said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stated that Ukraine has gone through the most difficult winter of all the years of the war, however the Russians are preparing new attacks on infrastructure.

“Today is the day when each of us can quite rightly say: we have made it through this winter, the most difficult of all the years of the war. The Russians wanted to turn this winter into the destruction of Ukraine and Ukrainians. But Ukraine did not break. We preserved our energy system,” he said.

Zelenskyy noted that “the Russians are not going to stop their strikes.”

“This is a fact — they are preparing new attacks on infrastructure. Intelligence provides the relevant information. Therefore, everyone whose duty is to protect Ukraine from strikes must be just as focused in the spring now as they were in the winter. Every threat must be responded to and Russian targets must be shot down to the maximum possible,” the president said.
