The mothers of the Russian military will be the first to come out to mass protests in Russia against a full-scale war in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by Olga Kurnosova, a Russian political analyst and editor-in-chief of the After Empire portal, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
“Putin is going to meet with specially trained “mothers of the mobilized” – employees of the FSO (Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, – ed.), playing flight attendants, then fishermen, then someone else. But not with the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers of Russia, and not with the Council of Mothers and Wives. Representatives of these organizations came to Moscow on purpose, hoping that they would be able to meet with him on November 27. But that won’t happen, they might say nasty things,” she said.
Kurnosova believes that in the foreseeable future, the mothers of the Russian mobilized will come out to mass protests against the war in Ukraine, since the question is about the lives of relatives.
“And the moment will come when the National Guard will stop pulling people to the paddy wagons, but this will depend on how many mothers come out,” Olga Kurnosova summed up.
