Ukrainian pole vaulter won bronze at the championship in Tallinn

Pole vaulter Oleksandr Onufriev won bronze on the final day of the European Junior Athletics Championships, which took place on July 15-18 in Tallinn.

UA reports this with reference to the NOC of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian athlete improved his personal record by 14 centimeters, his result is 5.44 m.

“When I was going to Tallinn, I dreamed about the medal, it’s like a dream! I improved my personal record, and therefore, I was able to approach the championship in the best shape and demonstrate it. The medal will be an important milestone in my career. I’m proud to stand on the podium with such challengers” – Onufriev commented.

Besides, earlier Ukrainian athlete Marina Bekh-Romanchuk won gold in the long jump at the stage of the Diamond League.
