Ukrainian judokas won four medals at the European Championship

One gold and three bronze medals were won by Ukrainian athletes at the European Junior Championships in Luxembourg.

Natalia Chystiakova won the gold medal in the weight category up to 70 kg.

Judoka from Nizhyn defeated Spanish Ai Rustant Tsunoda with a spectacular throw to the waza-ari score in the semifinals.

And in the final thanks to ippon on the third minute of the fight she defeated the Croatian Lara Tsvetko.

Oleh Veredyba defeated the representative of the Czech Republic Antonin Dvoracek in a duel for the third place in the weight up to 60 kg.

In the category up to 66 kg, Vladyslav Kazimirov defeated the representative of Cyprus Georgios Balarjishvili in a bronze fight. And Yevhen Honcharko was stronger than the Georgian Tengo Zirakashvili. In total, 210 judokas and 141 female judokas from 43 countries of the continent took part in the U21 European Judo Championship. 15 athletes competed for the Ukrainian national team.
