Ukrainian strikes have disrupted all major ground routes connecting occupied Crimea with the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region, according to an assessment by the Institute for the Study of War, UATV English reports.

The report notes that Ukrainian forces have targeted several critical bridges used by Russian troops for logistics and resupply. According to the Russian-installed governor of occupied Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, Ukrainian strikes hit:

  • A bridge over the North Crimean Canal near the occupied settlements of Preobrazhenka and Myrne;
  • The Perekop-Armiansk road bridge;
  • The Stavky road bridge.

These crossings are located along the M-17 highway connecting Armiansk with occupied territories north of Crimea.

ISW also cited a Ukrainian commander who reported that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian military convoy near Armiansk, damaging or destroying around 50 military trucks carrying fuel and ammunition.

According to the commander, Russian forces had redirected logistics through the Armiansk route after earlier Ukrainian strikes damaged the strategically important Chonhar Bridge, forcing occupation authorities to restrict traffic.

Russian military bloggers reportedly acknowledged that Ukrainian strikes conducted on June 7–8, June 9, and June 10–11 temporarily disrupted all land routes linking occupied Kherson region with Crimea and inflicted severe damage on the Chonhar crossing.

ISW concludes that Ukraine is intensifying its medium-range strike campaign against Russian logistics in southern Ukraine.

“Continued Ukrainian strikes are likely to have cascading effects on the battlefield and could complicate Russia’s preparations for future offensive operations,” the analysts wrote.

Separately, Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign “Madyar,” stated that Ukraine is systematically implementing a strategy to isolate occupied Crimea. According to him, traffic along the so-called “Novorossiya” highway corridor linking Rostov-on-Don, Mariupol, Melitopol, and Crimea has already fallen by more than two-thirds due to Ukrainian strikes, and further disruption is expected in the coming weeks.
