Ukraine to obtain another Iris-T in following weeks — Bild

The head of the Diehl Defense company Helmut Rauch claims Ukraine will receive more Iris-T SLM air defense systems produced to repel Russian attacks.

This was reported by Bild.

“Ukraine has three [Iris-T SLM] systems already, and more will be delivered this year. The next will [reach Ukraine] in a few weeks,” Helmut Rauch, CEO of Diehl Defense told Bild.

Helmut Rauch is in Ukraine with Robert Habeck, German Minister of Economy and Vice Chancellor. They arrived to Ukraine to show that and Germany is “on Ukraine’s side as long as necessary”.

“If Putin succeeds in Ukraine, he will continue the war. Therefore, it is important for our security and peace in Europe that Ukraine successfully defends itself and that we help it to do so,” Habek stated.

During his visit, Habeck will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Deputy Prime Minister and Economics Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and Energy Minister German Galushchenko.
