The defense ministers of Germany and Ukraine signed a letter of intent in Kyiv to launch Brave Germany, UATV English reports.
The initiative is a joint program aimed at developing defense technologies and supporting innovative startups.
“Today, Germany is the number one country in the world in terms of security assistance to Ukraine. It accounts for about one-third of all aid to our country. I would also like to thank Germany separately for the quality of its support and for backing key areas of our defense, primarily air defense,” said Mykhailo Fedorov.
According to him, this includes the procurement of hundreds of missiles for Patriot missile system, which were supplied and financed by Germany.
Fedorov recalled that Ukraine and Germany recently signed a major contract that Berlin has already begun to finance.
“Next year we will start receiving these missiles, and this is an unprecedented aid package for us,” the Ukrainian defense minister said.
