The National Police of Ukraine received cars and equipment for EUR 3.4 mln from the EU

The European Union gave Ukraine 18 patrol cars, 40 cars for the public security departments, 9 defibrillators, servers and data storage systems, with a costume Demolitions and related equipment.

This is reported by UA with a link to the portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The total cost of the equipment – EUR 3.4 million.

The ceremony of handing over the equipment purchased under the “Pravo-Police’ program took place on Sophia Square in Kyiv on Friday, September 10. It is being implemented with EU financial support by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in cooperation with the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine.

Patrol cars will be used in nine regions of Ukraine, in particular, in Kirovograd, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Poltava and Khmelnytskyi.

The explosives suit and hydrodynamic destroyers are intended for use by explosives technicians in the Donetsk region. Computer equipment is designed to improve the coordination of the Ukrainian police with Interpol and Europol.
