


On February 25, 2016, the international broadcasting channel of Ukraine UATV of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine began broadcasting in the Polish cable network Vectra S.A. The TV channel is included in all packages of the company.
Cable television provider Vectra S.A. is the second largest cable operator in Poland. According to the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communications PIKE, by the results of 2014, Vectra occupied almost 20% of the telecommunications market in Poland and 612,566 households are the subscribers of the digital television network, which UATV is part of.
We remind that the launch of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine (IMBPU) took place on October 1, 2015. The IMBPU is based on the state television and radio company “Worldwide Service ‘Ukrainian Television and Radio.’”
Within the framework of the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine, the UATV channel was launched instead of the satellite television channel UTR. It is broadcast via 3 satellites: Amos 3, Azerspace 1, Galaxy 19, as well as on the Internet through its YouTube channel.
The legal motive of the International Broadcasting Platform of Ukraine was the law “On the international broadcasting system of Ukraine,” drafted by the MIP, which was signed by the President of Ukraine on December 28, 2015. According to the law, the International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine is registered as a state-owned enterprise since the new year.
