The employees of the Vinnytsia State Academic Music and Drama Theatre are preparing for the new drama “KVITKA”. The performance – based on the play by modern playwright Oleh Mykolaychuk-Nyzovets – will address the life and the work of the prominent Ukrainian singer Kvitka Cisyk.
This was stated on the official page of the M.Sadovsky Vinnytsia State Academic Music and Drama Theatre on Facebook.
“Within the framework of the Ukrainian-American charitable project “Unforgettable Kvitka”, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and M.Sadovsky Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, the Vinnytsia Academic Music and Drama Theatre starts working on the “Kvitka ” performance based on the play by the modern playwright Oleh Mykolaychuk-Nyzovets. The performance about the famous American singer with Ukrainian heart will be staged in the world for the first time,” – the message says.
According to the report, the performance is directed by the theatre director, People’s Artist of Ukraine Taisia Slavinska; Tetiana Guseva-Kovtun is the designer; Diana Kalakai is the choreographer. So far, it is a secret who will play the main role of Kvitka.
The “KVITKA” performance will be premiered on April 5, 2018, at the 65th anniversary of Kvitka Cisyk’s birth. The performance will be held within the framework of the “Unforgettable Kvitka” Ukrainian-American charitable project, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration.
