A popular tourist symbol of Odessa called the “Anchor Heart,” will be moved to a beach in Marseille, France.

Odessa and Marseille are expected to exchange tourist symbols as a celebration of the 45th anniversary of their twin-city relations.

The press service of the Odessa City Hall reported that it will be installed by the fall of 2018.

The City Council of Marseille wants the statue to be installed on Prado Beach, a popular location frequented by locals. Many cultural and sporting events are held here.

The “Anchor Heart” will be sent to France in July of 2018 after all the legal and customs procedures.
