Over the past week, the number of cases of COVID-19 decreased by 22%.
This was reported by UA with reference to the briefing of the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
“In Ukraine, the incidence of COVID-19 continues for the third week. During the week, the number of recorded cases of COVID-19 decreased by 22%, hospitalizations – by 12%. The average daily mortality rate decreased by 14%. For the second week in a row, the average daily number of discharges exceeds the number of hospitalizations by a quarter. “Over the last week, the number of” crippled “patients has decreased by 14%” Liashko said.
The minister noted that the coronavirus is currently the leading cause of death in Europe, and next spring COVID-19 will cause 2 million deaths in Europe alone.
To remind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine recommends refraining from traveling to South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and Zimbabwe due to the spread of the new coronavirus strain Omicron.
