The threat of a Russian invasion of Ukraine today is a serious problem.
This was stated during a press conference in Warsaw by the leader of the largest opposition party “Civic Platform”, former European Council President Donald Tusk, UA reports with reference to Ukrinform.
“The threat of Russian aggression in Ukraine must be taken very seriously” – he said.
According to the politician, it is not necessary to talk about this problem through the prism of Ukrainian migration to Poland.
“I would not speak in the context of migration. In recent years, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have found themselves in Poland, but not for political but for economic reasons. This does not cause any tension, emotions or negative consequences (in Poland – ed.). Instead, there are security issues” – Tusk said.
The politician stressed that in the near future he intends to “actively act” in the Ukrainian direction. He promised to report the details later.
To remind that partners of Ukraine assured of the help in case of attack of the Russian Federation.
