Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal states that the draft amendments to the Constitution on decentralization have already been worked out and are in the final stage of approval.

He said this at the conference “On the way to Lugano: Decentralization”, UA reports.

“We still have many tasks ahead of us, including further reform of local self-government, improvement of the system of territorial organization of power, which requires constitutional changes that have already been worked out. Final procedures on the text of the bill are underway” – he said.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, to complete the decentralization reform, it is necessary to adopt new basic laws: the law “On Prefects”, a new version of the law “On Local Self-Government”, as well as amend the budget and tax legislation.
