Since the beginning of 2018, more than 14 million tickets have been sold through Ukrzaliznytsia’s online booking service, almost 50 percent of the total sales, Ukrzaliznytsya reported.
“At present, close to 50 percent of all of Ukrzaliznytsia’s railway tickets are purchased on the internet, but back in 2011, when the system for online ticket booking was just implemented, it was only one percent,” the company stated.
Since the implementation of the online ticket booking service in 2011, 70 million railway tickets were sold online.
Passengers can purchase railway tickets for all the available internal railway routes with only a few exceptions. For some local trains and international trains traveling to and from countries who were or are a part of the Commonwealth of Independent States, passengers can arrange and pay for travel online, after which they will receive an email confirmation, and it then must be exchanged at the railway station for a regular ticket.
To purchase tickets, passengers can use Ukrzaliznytsia’s official service.
