Sybiha and Kallas Discuss Strengthening Air Defense, Pressure on Russia, and Ukraine’s EU Accession

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to discuss strengthening support for Ukraine, increasing pressure on Russia, and advancing Ukraine’s European integration, UATV English reports.

Sybiha briefed Kallas on Russia’s latest attacks against Ukraine and their consequences, with the two officials discussing additional measures to increase pressure on Moscow.

“I emphasized the critical importance of strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and protection against ballistic threats,” Sybiha said.

The foreign minister also updated Kallas on Ukraine’s peace efforts and stressed Europe’s role in the diplomatic process.

The meeting also focused on Ukraine’s EU accession process, including the opening of the next negotiation clusters.

“I am grateful to Kaja and the European Union for their steadfast support of Ukraine,” Sybiha said.
