Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko must stop assisting Russia and demonstrate this through concrete actions, stressing that words alone are no longer enough, UATV English informs.

Speaking in an interview with TSN, Zelenskyy said that before making public statements, he usually takes “certain de-escalatory steps privately.” According to him, Belarusian authorities had previously received messages through intelligence and military channels urging them to stop helping Russia.

The president stated that Kyiv had repeatedly demanded that Minsk dismantle relay equipment on Belarusian territory that allegedly helps Russian drones conduct attacks against Ukrainian cities.

“The story with the relay stations in Belarus is not something that started yesterday. It has been going on for a long time, and it has resulted in casualties exclusively on the Ukrainian side. He can keep his ‘I’m sorry’ for himself. It stopped working after the first day of the war. I explained to him: step number one is to end any technical support for Russian relay systems. Remove them, show us they have been removed, and the issue is closed. We have conveyed this message to them many times. We have already moved beyond the stage of public signals. If they do not remove them, we will. That is all. Within a week, either they will do it, or we will,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian leader also called on Belarus to stop supplying fuel to the Russian military.

“We are also sending them a signal: please stop supplying fuel to the Russian army. This is only a signal; there are no threats here. We are simply telling them that we see it,” he stated.

Earlier, Zelenskyy responded to what he described as Lukashenko’s apology and gave Minsk one week to remove equipment allegedly being used by Russian forces to coordinate attacks against Ukraine, warning that otherwise Ukraine would take action itself.
