On the occasion of Journalist’s Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree awarding 37 journalists and media professionals from Ukrainian and international outlets. Among those recognized were employees of the State Enterprise “International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine” (IBMPU), Nataliia Husak and Oleh Borysov.
According to Decree No. 482/2026, the awards were granted “for a significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian journalism and the information sphere, high professional excellence and dedication demonstrated while covering events related to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and for many years of conscientious work.”
Nataliia Husak, a correspondent for the FREEДOM TV channel, which is part of SE “International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine” (IBMPU), was awarded the Order of Merit, Third Class. For many years, she has reported from Dnipro, covering the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, attacks on civilians, shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and producing frontline reports from the scenes of missile and drone strikes.
Oleh Borysov, a presenter, correspondent, and department head at FREEДOM, was awarded the honorary title of Honored Journalist of Ukraine.
In addition, the filming crew of the FREEДOM channel — correspondent Nataliia Bilokudria (Piddubna) and cameraman Andrii Domovyi — received a Certificate of Honor from the Kharkiv City Council.
The award recognized their active civic engagement, high professional standards, significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian journalism and broadcasting, and their work marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the first Ukrainian television station in Kharkiv.
