The State Enterprise “The International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine” (IBMPU) has created the YouTube channel UATV po polsku, which will make it possible to promptly and objectively inform Polish-speaking audiences about key events in Ukraine. In the first days of operation, content on the new channel has already received more than 140,000 views and over 1,000 subscribers.
Poland is one of Ukraine’s key allies, and the creation of a Ukrainian media outlet in the Polish language will allow audiences in that country to receive reliable information about events in Ukraine, as well as counter the intensification of Russian propaganda in Eastern Europe. Poland was the first country to recognize Ukraine’s independence in 1991, so the presence of pro-Ukrainian messages in its information space amid the Kremlin’s hybrid operations is extremely important.
At the launch of the project, 99.5% of views of the UATV po polsku YouTube channel come from outside Ukraine. The new channel clearly reaches its target audience—76.3% of views are from Poland. The top cities by views are Warsaw, Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków, and Gdańsk. The Polish-language platform of Ukrainian foreign broadcasting has already gained its first thousand subscribers, and the channel’s content has been viewed more than 140,000 times.
“We have long recorded steady demand from the Polish audience. Poland is a direct neighbor and a strategic partner of Ukraine, and interest in events in our country there is traditionally high. We see this not only through analytics and viewership figures, but also through active feedback—people write to us a lot, thank us for our work, and directly say that there is a need for high-quality content in Polish,” said Vadym Lubchak, Head of the Digital Department of IBMPU. “That is why, within the system of Ukrainian foreign broadcasting, a decision was made and an opportunity found to launch a separate channel in Polish. Its content will be news- and analysis-oriented and aimed at enabling Polish-speaking audiences to receive verified information, better understand events in Ukraine and their broader context directly from the Ukrainian side—promptly, objectively, and in a balanced manner. We are only taking the first steps in this direction now. But soon we plan to gradually expand the channel’s presence—by increasing the amount of content and expanding to other digital platforms in order to reach the Polish-speaking audience as widely as possible, both in Poland and beyond.”
The audience of UATV po polsku will be able to promptly receive Ukraine’s top news, information about Ukraine’s resistance to Russian aggression, and updates on the situation along the front line. Among the topics covered by the channel are statements and addresses by the President of Ukraine and other senior officials, world leaders; news about Ukraine’s achievements in the defense sector and in recovery; information about international support for Ukraine, and more. UATV po polsku will also introduce Polish-speaking viewers to various aspects of life in Ukraine, stories of the resilience of Ukrainian society, and cultural and social initiatives.
The UATV po polsku YouTube channel currently features Polish-adapted content of its own production from other foreign-broadcasting platforms, including:
- major news on diplomatic and military steps by Ukraine and the democratic world toward achieving peace;
- official statements and addresses by the President of Ukraine and world leaders;
- episodes of the projects “Hybrid Operations” and “Special Report.”
Among the most popular videos on the newly created channel are Polish-adapted pieces such as:
- A “Special Report” on how the past year became a turning point for Russia: losses at the front exceeded the effect of mobilization, the economy shifted into uncontrolled decline, and oil revenues are melting before our eyes (21,000 views). Top countries by views: Poland — 72.1%, Germany — 8.6%, the United States — 3.7%.
- A news program discussing the prospects of using the Ukrainian “Flamingo” missile against military targets in Moscow and St. Petersburg (16,000 views). Audience distribution: Poland — 68.9%, Germany — 7%, the United States — 4.9%.
- A news program devoted, among other things, to a technological catastrophe in the Russian Arctic (15,000 views). Top countries by views: Poland (73.4%), Germany (8%), and the United States (5.6%).
In December 2025, IBMPU launched YouTube channels in German (UATV.Deutsch) and Turkish (UATV Türkçe).
