31 million doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 were delivered to Ukraine – Liashko

31 million doses of coronavirus vaccine have already been delivered to Ukraine.

This was stated at a briefing by Health Minister Viktor Liashko, UA reports.

Thus, 2 million 930 thousand doses of mRNA vaccine from COVID-19 manufactured by Moderna arrived in Ukraine over the weekend within the framework of the global initiative COVAX. In addition, a new batch of Pfizer vaccine was delivered in the amount of 1 million 400 thousand doses. It was purchased at the expense of the state.

“31 million doses of vaccines have already been delivered to Ukraine” – Liashko said.

According to him, 1 million 648 thousand vaccinations were given last week. Today, 36.7% of Ukrainians have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and 25.6% have completed a full course of vaccination.

“Kyiv remains the leader in vaccination coverage, where 57% of residents have already received one dose and 45.7% have completed the vaccination course. The worst vaccinations this week were in Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Odesa regions” – the minister said.
