Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) have announced preparations for new long-range strikes against critical Russian military targets in the enemy’s operational rear, UATV English reports.
According to the USF, operators from the 7th Battalion of the 414th “Birds of Magyar” Brigade are preparing middle-strike class unmanned aerial systems for upcoming combat missions.
The drones are designed to operate deep behind enemy lines, targeting key military infrastructure, including logistics hubs, transport assets, air defense systems, fuel infrastructure, command posts and other high-value military objectives in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Unmanned Systems Forces said the effectiveness of such operations depends on the coordinated work of drone operators, engineers, analysts and commanders functioning within a unified combat system. Careful preparation of the platforms and systematic mission planning, it added, continue to improve operational results.
The announcement comes a day after the USF reported that, as part of Operation “Crimean Switch Off,” its units struck 18 electrical substations in Russian-occupied territories, including 14 in occupied Crimea.
