Zelenskyy, Trump Discuss Patriot Interceptor Production and Diplomatic Efforts at White House Meeting

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he held a productive meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, focusing on defense cooperation and efforts to advance a diplomatic path toward ending the war, UATV English reports.

Zelenskyy thanked the United States for its continued support of Ukraine and expressed condolences to Trump over the death of Senator Lindsey Graham, describing him as “a true friend of Ukraine.”

The two leaders discussed licensing the production of Patriot interceptor missiles, as well as additional defense initiatives that could strengthen Ukraine’s capabilities.

Zelenskyy also said the meeting focused on diplomacy, stressing the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts. According to the Ukrainian president, the two sides agreed that their teams would coordinate the details of future communication.

“I thank the United States for its strong support,” Zelenskyy said after the meeting.
