U.S. President Donald Trump described Russia’s war against Ukraine as a “bloody conflict” and emphasized that the fighting must end as soon as possible.
During a conversation, Trump reiterated his claims that he has “resolved eight wars,” with “one left” — referring to the Russia-Ukraine war, UATV English reports.
“I thought it would be easier because I settled some wars that lasted, in one case, 32 years. And I resolved it in two days. I’m very proud of that… The only one I haven’t done yet is Russia and Ukraine. This should never have started. It’s a bloody conflict. A terrible bloody conflict,” he said.
The U.S. president noted that no war of this scale has occurred since World War II.
He also expressed confidence that the war initiated by Russia against Ukraine will end soon.
“I hope it happens soon. We are putting strong pressure on them, you know, with India and oil, and India is now stepping out of it, and others are leaving too, because Russia sells oil and has money to do things. But I think we will handle it. But it’s a shame,” Trump summarized.
Recently, Trump stated that there has been progress in mediating the Russia-Ukraine war. He also claimed he could bring the war to an end, arguing that Russia would want to “do business” with the United States.
