The Russian invaders today are trying to level the front line as much as possible. The occupiers concentrated their main forces in the east and are still trying to capture and destroy the city of Avdiivka, as they did with Bakhmut. Speaker of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army “South” Sergii Bratchuk said this on the FREEDOM TV channel.
He noted that attempts to advance the invaders are being observed today along the entire front line.
“In the Zaporizhzhia direction, this is the Rabotinsky bridgehead, the enemy is trying to conduct active hostilities. On the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, the invaders are unsuccessfully trying to destroy the bridgehead of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. We must pay tribute to our Armed Forces, which are resisting the enemy as much as possible and holding their positions,” the speaker noted.
According to him, the enemy is focusing on Marinka and Avdiivka so that Rospropaganda can show “successes” at the front.
“Today, personnel and enemy military equipment are concentrated as much as possible in the Avdiivka direction. The enemy is trying to find something new in the tactics of using both weapons and equipment. The artillery is working as much as possible, the aviation is working as much as possible,” said Bratchuk.
He also said that the enemy is trying to introduce some new reserves.
“At least two full-fledged combined arms Russian armies are concentrated in the Avdiivka direction today. We understand the importance the Kremlin attaches to somehow getting something from such offensive actions. Today they do not stop, there are not even so-called operational pauses. Marinka is destroyed, Bakhmut is destroyed. The same thing, unfortunately, awaits Avdiivka. These are the locations that the enemy is simply trying to destroy to get at least some kind of victory,” noted the broadcast guest.
Such tactics of the invaders, Bratchuk believes, perfectly indicate that the Russians are not confident that even if they capture Avdiivka, they will be able to hold it.
“It’s already ruins, there’s nothing there. And it is clear that they are not going to restore anything in this city for the future; there will be no Russians there. But today they need this mythical victory. The situation remains very difficult,” summed up the broadcast guest.
Earlier, a military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Olexander Kovalenko said that all the assaults of the Russian invaders in the Eastern direction are attempts to achieve at least some kind of victory by the New Year. They have no tactical significance.
