Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a phone conversation on Wednesday with his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Saar.

During the call, Sybiha briefed Saar on the consequences of large-scale Russian attacks and the urgent needs for restoring Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, according to a post on Sybiha’s X (formerly Twitter).

The ministers also discussed the peace process aimed at achieving lasting peace, exchanged views on key bilateral issues, and addressed shared security threats, including those posed by the Iranian regime.

“Ukraine strongly condemns the brutal violence and repression by Iranian authorities against their own people. International pressure on Tehran must be increased in response to the killings and injuries of so many individuals,” Sybiha said.

He expressed gratitude to the Israeli Foreign Minister “for constructive dialogue and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.”

Sybiha also noted that Ukraine, together with Israel and the international community, commemorates the victims of the Holocaust:

“Yesterday, we joined the highest-level remembrance at the Babyn Yar Memorial in Kyiv, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of all Jews murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust,” he recalled.

As previously reported, President Zelenskyy paid tribute to Holocaust victims at Babyn Yar on Tuesday.
