February 7, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed Turkey’s involvement in finding a political solution of the escalation in Ukraine-Russia relations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Stoltenberg announced it on Twitter:
Spoke to President @RTErdogan to discuss #Russia’s buildup in and around #Ukraine. I thanked him for his active support & personal engagement to find a political solution, and welcomed #Turkey's strong practical support to #Ukraine. #NATO remains ready for dialogue.

Let us recall, President Erdogan paid a visit to Kyiv on February 3. Ukraine and Turkey signed on a free trade zone, as well as an agreement expanding the production of Turkish Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles Baikar in the territory of Ukraine.
President Erdogan has said that Ukraine’s President Zelensky agreed to meet with Russian President Putin in Turkey. Ukrainian side is ready for negotiations in Istanbul, as well as in Geneva and Vienna, in any place where there is disengagement, independence from one of the sides, namely from Russia, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.
