The Russian Federation is concentrating its efforts on the Eastern Front, but the occupiers’ views on capturing the entire Donetsk region are very attractive, – military expert

The point of attraction for all the efforts of the Russian army at the front now is the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk urban agglomeration. And in this context, the enemy is trying to create convenient bridgeheads. One is in the area of ​​the city of Chasiv Yar, somewhat to the west of it, the second is closer to Pokrovsk, so the enemy is now trying to act in a direction west of Avdiivka and south of Marinka. And the third direction from which the Russians will be able to act in the future, given a successful combination of circumstances, is Lyman. Military expert Vladislav Seleznev said this on the FREEDOM TV channel.

“But we must clearly understand that the enemy can count on any very rosy expectations and plans. But it is not a fact that these expectations and plans will turn out exactly as the enemy expects. After all, our enemy was once confident that in three days he could take Kyiv, and within three weeks he could completely occupy the entire territory of Ukraine. This didn’t happen. I think that the enemy’s expectation that in some foreseeable future he will be able to completely take control of the entire territory of the Donetsk region is also illusory and is unlikely to be confirmed by the realities on the battlefield,” Seleznev emphasized.

The expert is confident that as soon as the Ukrainian military has enough weapons and equipment received from partners, the situation on the front line will be able to stabilize.

“When we are able to stabilize the situation in terms of logistics, that is, we have sufficient quantities of weapons and ammunition, the front line will be stabilized,” the speaker said.

Seleznev suggests that thanks to the successful actions of the Defense Forces, Russian troops will continue to suffer huge losses at the front.

“You shouldn’t entertain any illusions now that in the near future the Ukrainian army will be able to launch a counter-offensive in order to liberate the territories. This definitely won’t happen in the near future. But with regards to effective defense, which will be aimed at wearing down the combat potential of the enemy army, I am sure that our Defense Forces will work with 100% efficiency. This means that the enemy will suffer huge losses. Figures at the level of 1000, 1200, 1300 Russian military personnel killed within 24 hours will become commonplace, routine statistics,” the guest of the broadcast summed up.
