The G7 foreign ministers (G7) condemn the actions of Alexander Lukashenko’s regime aimed at fomenting a migration crisis on the Belarusian-Polish border.

This was reported by UA with reference to a statement published on the website of the British government.

“We, the foreign ministers of the G7 countries – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the High Representative of the European Union, condemn the organization of illegal migration by the Belarusian regime across its borders” – the document said.

The G7 ministers expressed solidarity with Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, which have found themselves at the center of a migration crisis.

“We call on the regime (Lukashenko) to immediately end its aggressive campaign to prevent death and suffering. International organizations must ensure immediate and unhindered access to humanitarian aid. “The actions of the Belarusian regime are an attempt to divert attention from its constant neglect of freedoms and human rights, including the rights of its own people” – the statement said.
