Today, December 14, Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev signed a number of bilateral documents.
This is reported by UA with reference to the press conference of the Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev signed a joint declaration, which fixes the position of the two countries on many issues and challenges.
“We have signed a common declaration of the presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. It consolidates the readiness to provide mutual support to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state within internationally recognized borders, to jointly counter hybrid threats, the desire to ensure peace and stability in the Black Sea-Caspian region and beyond. These and a number of other positions of the declaration testify to the unity and similarity of our views on many issues and challenges, both regional and global” – the President of Ukraine said.
An agreement on cooperation in the field of food safety has been signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of Azerbaijan. The corresponding document was signed by the heads of the joint commission of the two countries on economic cooperation, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk and Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the ministries of economy of Ukraine and Azerbaijan on issues of urgent cooperation in bilateral trade.
The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk and Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov.
A memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the energy sector was signed between NJSC Naftogaz, represented by the chairman of the board of the company, Yuriy Vitrenko, and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), represented by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov.
A memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of land issues, management of state-owned lands and the state land cadaster was signed between the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadaster and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan. The document was signed by Serhiy Zavadskyy, Acting State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, and Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
To remind, on December 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
