A team of Czech special forces will take part in the Silver Saber exercise in Ukraine together with local elite units.
This is reported by UA with reference to the plan for the participation of the Czech military in international exercises in 2022.
The exercises will be held within the framework of the bilateral and regional cooperation program.
The purpose of the exercise is:
- developing interoperability with an international partner;
- training in the use of common procedures and terminology;
- strengthening of cooperation of special forces SOF (Special Operations Forces) of both countries.
The exercises are being held in support of the NATO plan for the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Silver Saber” exercises – primarily a bilateral Polish-Ukrainian exercises focused on special forces operations. This year the maneuvers will be held for the second time. Last year, 400 Ukrainian special forces personnel took part in it, who were evaluated for admission to tasks as part of the NATO Response Force.
To remind, the Ambassador of Estonia to Ukraine Kaimo Kuusk said that Estonia is ready to provide Ukraine with the most modern field hospital for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the east of Ukraine.
