President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on a visit to the United Kingdom on Monday, July 27, where he will hold his first meeting with the new head of government, Andy Burnham.
The head of state shared this on social media, posting a video of his arrival, UATV English reports.
The president was greeted upon arrival by, among others, Ambassador to London Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
“Arrived in the United Kingdom. On the agenda are meetings with Prime Minister Andy Burnham, as well as with our troops currently in Britain who, among other things, took part in the Sea Breeze exercises,” Zelenskyy said.
Over the years of the full-scale war, he added, the two countries have built the strongest relationship in the entire history of cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
“The key priorities are air defense, maritime security, and joint defense production — our cooperation, which strengthens both countries. We appreciate that we can always count on Britain’s principled decisions, leadership, and support. We’ll keep working to further strengthen our partnership and enhance the security of our states,” Zelenskyy noted.
Media had reported that during the Ukrainian president’s visit, Andy Burnham intends to announce the transfer of Stone Cloak technology, aimed at disabling Russian air defense assets.
Zelenskyy said that during his meeting with Burnham, he plans to discuss further strengthening bilateral relations.
