On the evening of June 21 and during the night of June 22, a series of explosions rocked temporarily occupied Crimea. According to local residents, the building of Russia’s Federal Security Service border service in Armiansk and the Tavricheskaya Thermal Power Plant came under attack, UATV English reports.
Residents of Feodosia, Sevastopol, and other cities across the peninsula also reported explosions and the operation of Russian air defense systems.
Following the attacks, power outages were recorded in several areas of Crimea, including Kerch, Feodosia, and Sevastopol.
Meanwhile, a major traffic jam involving nearly 700 vehicles was reported on the approach to the Kerch Bridge from the Kerch side. According to Russian media, waiting times for manual inspections reached two hours.
The congestion occurred after traffic on the bridge was temporarily suspended amid the threat of drone attacks. At the same time, no queues were reported on the side of Taman.
Local residents reported difficulties leaving the peninsula due to transportation restrictions and the cancellation of some transport services.
As previously reported, fuel sales at gas stations across Crimea have been completely halted. Gasoline is reportedly being supplied only to state services. In addition, electricity outages affected a significant part of the temporarily occupied peninsula, while disruptions to water supply occurred due to the shutdown of pumping stations.
