In May, video and text content in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, German, Turkish, French, and Polish across all digital platforms of Ukraine’s international broadcasting channels UATV and The Gaze (YouTube, Facebook, X, WhatsApp, web) received 42.5 million views* — 4 million more than a month earlier. Of these, 20.8 million views were on Facebook, 21.7 million views** on YouTube, while the share of YouTube views from abroad amounted to 96%. The reach of posts published in the communities of these YouTube channels totaled 18.6 million impressions***.
At the beginning of May, the audience of UATV and The Gaze international broadcasting platforms followed the establishment of a ceasefire regime at the front, as well as the progress of preparations for the parade in the Kremlin, which was under threat of disruption due to Ukrainian drones. The focus of viewers’ attention remained the situation on the front line, including the threat of an attack from Belarus and the failure of the occupiers’ spring offensive campaign, as well as the intensification of attacks by the Russian army on peaceful Ukrainian cities due to the lack of success on the battlefield. At the same time, successful strikes by Ukrainian drones against the oil industry, as well as military facilities in the Russian rear, especially near Moscow, became the topics of the most popular videos on most international broadcasting channels — UATV English, UATV Espanol, The Gaze,UATV Portugues, UATV Deutsch, and others.
In May, the English-language YouTube channel of Ukraine’s international broadcasting service, UATV.English, received 13.4 million views (3 million more than a month earlier) — the highest figure over the past two years of operation. At the same time, views of live broadcasts doubled — 245 thousand views compared to 125 thousand in April. The channel was most frequently watched from the United States (25.3%), the United Kingdom (8%), and Canada (6.2%). Overall, the share of UATV.English’s audience from abroad in May amounted to 95.9%. The greatest interest among viewers — more than 800 thousand views — was generated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement on the results of repelling Russian army drone attacks on the night of May 1 and the development of defense cooperation within the PURL initiative. A video about how systematic and precise Ukrainian drone strikes against oil infrastructure deep inside Russia forced the closure of 400 oil wells, halted the operation of the largest oil refineries, and undermined the financing and logistics of Russia’s military machine received 650 thousand views. Views of videos on the UATV.English Facebook account reached 9.8 million in May. The top countries by views were the United States (28.8%), Nigeria (11.5%), and India (9.8%), while the overall share of users from abroad amounted to 91.5%.

Content on The Gaze’s English-language YouTube channel was viewed 703 thousand times in May, which is the highest figure this year. Videos were most frequently watched from the United States (24%), the United Kingdom (7.7%), and India (6.5%). Overall, the share of the foreign audience in April continued to remain at 92.9%. Viewers paid particular attention to materials about the latest Ukrainian weapons, against which, in particular, the Russian air defense system is powerless. Content on The Gaze Facebook page was viewed 1.2 million times in May, with the top countries by views traditionally being Venezuela (27.9%), the United States (23.3%), and Brazil (14%), while the share of the page’s audience from abroad amounted to 95%.
May 2026 became the most successful month by views for the UATV.Español YouTube channel throughout its entire period of operation: the channel received 4.8 million views — 2 million more than in April. The number of views of original productions almost doubled. The share of viewers from abroad has remained at 99.7% for the fifth consecutive month, with the top countries by views being the United States (13.4%), Spain (12.5%), and Mexico (8.3%). The greatest interest among the channel’s audience in May was generated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s reaction to the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of May 24, during which an “Oreshnik” strike was launched against Bila Tserkva. The UATV.Español Facebook page was viewed 3.4 million times last month — almost twice as many as a month earlier. The page is most frequently visited from Venezuela (28.1%), Argentina (23.6%), and Ecuador (11.2%). Overall, the share of the foreign audience amounted to 90%.
The Portuguese-language channel of Ukraine’s international broadcasting service, UATV.Português, also improved its performance — 1.5 million views during the month, the best result since the beginning of 2026. Traditionally, the channel is most frequently watched from Brazil (70.5%) and Portugal (11.6%), while the share of viewers from abroad remains at 99.7%. As on other international broadcasting platforms, viewers paid attention to the effective work of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Russian rear — the top video of the month became a report on how Ukraine granted permission for the May 9 parade in Moscow to take place. The number of views of the UATV.Português Facebook page is also growing — it was viewed 322.6 thousand times in May. The share of readers from abroad amounts to 99%, with the largest audience coming from Brazil (54.5%) and Angola (33.4%).
Content on the Arabic-language platform of Ukraine’s international broadcasting service, UATV.Arabic, on YouTube was viewed 607 thousand times in May. The most popular video of the month was a report refuting claims by the Russian army about allegedly establishing control over the village of Ryasne in the Sumy region. Traditionally, the channel is most frequently watched from Algeria (17.5%), Morocco (11.3%), and Iraq (9.6%). The share of views from abroad has not fallen below 98.7% for the fifth consecutive month. Content on the UATV.Arabic Facebook platform was viewed 5.3 million times in May — twice as many as in April. The largest audience came from Algeria, Iraq, and Morocco. Overall, the share of views from abroad remains at 98%.
Content on the German-language channel UATV.Deutsch received 178 thousand views in April, while the share of the audience from abroad amounted to 95.1%. The channel continues to reach its target audience — it is most frequently watched from Germany (52.9%), Austria (12.3%), and Switzerland (10%). On this platform, viewers also paid attention to how Ukrainian weapons reach Moscow while bypassing Russian air defense systems — a report on this topic became the most popular video of the month. The UATV Deutsch Facebook page was visited 420.6 thousand times in May, almost twice as many as in April. The largest audience came from Germany (69.3%) and Austria (15.4%). Overall, the share of the audience from abroad amounted to 95.3%.
Materials on the YouTube channel of the Turkish-language platform of Ukraine’s international broadcasting service, UATV.Türkçe, were viewed nearly 127 thousand times in May. The top video of the month was about Ukrainian drone strikes on facilities in the Moscow region. Traditionally, the channel is most frequently watched from Türkiye (43.7%), Azerbaijan (12.7%), and Germany (6.2%). The share of viewers from abroad amounted to 90.6%. The number of views of the UATV Türkçe platform on Facebook reached 327.4 thousand, with 99.1% of the audience coming from abroad.
Content on the UATV po polsku channel collected 267.7 thousand views on YouTube last month, with the main audience coming from Poland (75.6%). The share of the foreign audience in April amounted to 95.7%. The greatest interest among viewers, as on other international broadcasting platforms, was generated by footage of Ukrainian drones striking oil industry facilities in Russia.
In May, the State Enterprise “International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine” announced the launch of the French-language channel UATV Français. The platform has already gained 160 thousand views. Overall, the share of views from abroad amounts to 98.2%, with the majority of viewers coming from France (42.6%).
The international broadcasting team continues to actively work with UATV channel communities on YouTube. Thus, content in the UATV.English community received 14.8 million impressions last month; content in the UATV.Português community was viewed 711.9 thousand times; and content in the UATV.Arabic community was viewed 372.6 thousand times.
In addition, content in the UATV.Español community received 1.9 million impressions; 587.3 thousand impressions were generated in The Gaze community; 123.5 thousand in the UATV.Deutsch community; 91.6 thousand in the YouTube community of UATV po polsku; and 24.5 thousand in the UATV.Türkçe channel community.
The total reach of posts published in the communities of UATV.English, UATV.Español, UATV.Português, UATV.Arabic, UATV.Deutsch, UATV po polsku, and The Gaze reached 18.6 million views in April.
Users were most interested in steps aimed at achieving a just peace in Ukraine, the situation on the front line, new Ukrainian weapons, and strikes on oil refining and military-industrial complex facilities in the Russian rear, especially near Moscow.
