During the night of May 14, following a massive daytime drone assault, Russian forces continued their attack with a combined strike using UAVs and air- and ground-launched missiles, according to the Air Force Command, as reported by UATV English.
The main direction of the strike was Kyiv.
In total, 731 aerial targets were detected and tracked:
- 3 Kh-47 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles (launched from Lipetsk region);
- 18 “Iskander-M”/S-400 ballistic missiles (launched from Bryansk and Kursk);
- 35 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launched from Vologda region);
- 675 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones and decoys (launched from multiple regions in Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea).
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, Ukraine’s air defense destroyed or suppressed 693 targets — 41 missiles and 652 drones:
- 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 12 “Iskander-M”/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 652 UAVs of various types.
“Hits were recorded from 15 missiles and 23 strike UAVs across 24 locations, as well as debris from downed drones at 18 locations,” the Air Force reported.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
