Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Sandvik discussed the results of the “Ramstein” format meeting.

“In 2025, Norway has allocated a total of €1 billion for drone procurement, of which €400 million is earmarked specifically for purchases from Ukrainian manufacturers,” Shmyhal informed following the conversation.
He noted promising prospects for strengthening cooperation and expressed gratitude for Norway’s consistent support and assistance in enhancing Ukraine’s defense.
“Among the topics discussed were the development of joint defense industry productions, strengthening air defense, and training of Ukrainian military personnel,” the Ukrainian minister added.
Shmyhal outlined Ukraine’s priority needs to his Norwegian counterpart.
“We also expect Ukraine’s participation in the SAFE projects,” he concluded.
Earlier, it was reported that Norway is ready to contribute to strengthening Ukraine’s air defense system, including financing the purchase of Patriot systems in the U.S.
