U.S. President Donald Trump is leaving open the possibility of providing additional assistance to Ukraine from the United States.

He made this statement on Wednesday during a press conference in The Hague following meetings at the NATO summit, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

In response to a question about whether the United States would make an additional contribution to Ukraine’s defense this year—beyond the €5 billion being provided by allies—Trump remarked:

“As for money, we’ll see what happens.”

At the same time, the U.S. president emphasized:

“Vladimir Putin really must put an end to this war. People are dying on a scale we haven’t seen in a long time.”

As previously reported, President Donald Trump on Wednesday promised to consider supplying Patriot systems to Ukraine, which he said needs them more than anything else.
