The security forces detained 5 Crimean Tatars after searches in the occupied peninsula.

UA reports this with reference to “Crimean Solidarity”.

“Today from 4:00 in the morning in Crimea, new mass searches have taken place in the houses of the Crimean Tatar Muslims in the Simferopol, Bakhchisarai districts of Crimea and in the Balaklava and Nakhimovsky districts of Sevastopol. 5 people were detained as a result of the investigative measures,” the message says.

In the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol, FSB officers took activists Rustem Murasov and Rustem Tairov, in the Balaklava district of Sevastopol – Dzhebbar Bekirov, in the Bakhchisarai district – Zaur Abdullaev, in the Simferopol district of Crimea – Imam Raif Fevziev.

According to the “Crimean Solidarity”, 4 were taken to the “Office of the Federal Security Service of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol”, Fevziev – to the “Office of the Federal Security Service of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Simferopol”.

Raif Fevziev is a local imam who graduated from a madrasah, a Crimean Tatar activist, a father of many children. Rustam Murasov, Rustam Tairov, Jabbar Bekirov and Zaur Abdullaev regularly attended politically motivated court hearings, supported the families of political prisoners, organizers of iftar and mass events in their villages.

“These are people who constantly visited the courts, made transmissions. On February 2, 2018, Rustem Tairov and Rustem Murasov were already detained. They had to be taken to the FSB. But civil defenders went and liberated them at that time” – activist Dilyaver Memetov said.

In addition, during the search in the house of Rustem Murasov, the security forces seized a large amount of money.

To remind, searches were carried out in five houses of the Crimean Tatars.

Earlier in the Russian Federation, four Crimean Tatars were sentenced to long terms.
