In the first half of 2021 1,400,000 foreigners visited Ukraine – this is 31% less than in the same period of the last year, and 75% less than in the first half of 2019.
UA reports this with reference to the Facebook page of the State Agency for Tourism Development.
Meanwhile, in the first half of 2021 the number of foreigners increased by 9% compared to the second half of 2020.
There is a significant increase in visitors in the second quarter of 2021, their number was 4 times higher than the number of people received in the corresponding period of 2020 and reached 3,400,000 persons.
70% of foreigners visiting Ukraine are Europeans (10% less than last year), 24% are representatives of the Asian region (8% more than in 2020), 2.8% came from North America and only 1.7% – citizens of the African continent.
In the first quarter of 2021 116,000 foreign tourists visited Kyiv.
