President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Denmark’s newly appointed Defence Minister Jeppe Bruus discussed joint work on anti-ballistic capabilities, preparations for a bilateral Drone Deal, and the next package of Danish military assistance during a meeting in Kyiv, UATV English reports.
“This is Minister Bruus’ first visit to Ukraine since taking office, and it is a very important signal of support for our people,” Zelenskyy said.
According to the president, both sides reviewed preparations for the Drone Deal, which is now close to completion.
“Our teams have been working on the agreement, and it is almost ready. The minister and I share the position that the Drone Deal between Ukraine and Denmark should be concluded as soon as possible,” Zelenskyy said.
The leaders also focused on joint efforts to strengthen anti-ballistic capabilities.
“We paid special attention to our joint work on anti-ballistic defense. It is necessary to strengthen European capabilities in this area,” the president said.
The meeting also covered the contents of Denmark’s upcoming 30th military assistance package for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy thanked the Danish minister for assurances that Denmark’s new government would continue its policy of strong support for Ukraine and its people.
Earlier, Denmark announced an additional delivery of 15,000 long-range 155 mm artillery rounds to Ukraine, with part of the shipment already having arrived.
