Polish President Karol Nawrocki said that any planning for peace agreements must take into account that Russia does not honor its commitments, and that Ukraine must have a decisive voice in negotiations, UATV English reports. He shared the remarks on X.

“New proposals to end Russia’s war against Ukraine must consider the fact that Russia is a country that does not adhere to its treaties. Any peace plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, initiated by the Russian Federation, must be approved in Kyiv. Ukraine has been a victim of Putin’s criminal aggression, and Ukrainians, supported by the United States and EU countries, must have a decisive role in peace negotiations,” Nawrocki wrote.

He stressed that any agreements on peace and security in Europe can only be achieved with the participation of all interested parties.

“The price of peace must never include granting the aggressor strategic objectives, and the Russian Federation has been and remains the aggressor,” Nawrocki added.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday that his administration has set the upcoming Thursday as the deadline for Ukraine to agree to the White House plan to end Russia’s war.

Following a call with U.S. Vice President Mike Vance and Army Secretary James Driscoll, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine, the United States, and Europe will work at the advisers’ level to ensure that the path to peace becomes truly feasible.
