The chief of the occupation administration of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, has decided to engage Chinese businesses in the construction of transport infrastructure in Crimea.

According to the FISU, during the last meeting, Aksyonov stated preliminary agreements had been reached regarding the following facilities:

– Kerch seaport (actively used for shadow exports);

– infrastructure at Lake Donuzlav (where the Russian Navy base is located).

In order to sign the final agreement, the occupation authorities of Crimea plan to invite potential Chinese builders to visit Crimea. Among them is China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), which is one of the largest actors in railway and highway construction.

The total amount of capital is estimated at US$10 billion, the Foreign Intelligence Service noted.

As reported earlier, referring to Ukraine’s intelligence, the Russian military-industrial complex finds support from nations that formally declare neutrality on the issue of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
