President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Lithuania to participate in the Bucharest Nine (B9) summit. The meeting, organized by regional countries, aims to coordinate their positions ahead of the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague. Discussions are expected to focus on continued support for Ukraine.

After Bucharest Nine (B9) summit President of Ukraine made several statements at briefing.

Key points from Zelenskyy’s briefing:

  • Zelenskyy reported that out of 6,000 military bodies that Russia wants to transfer to Ukraine, only 15% are identified.
  • The president also warned that Ukraine may face a gas shortage due to large-scale attacks by Russia on gas infrastructure.

“We have agreed with the Minister of Energy that we will look for ways to close this deficit, which may arise if everything is not restored, if we cannot fully supply gas to our population,” – said Zelenskyy.

  • During a conversation with journalists on Zoom, the president announced that Ukraine has been invited to the NATO summit in The Hague, which will take place on June 24-25.
  • Zelenskyy believes that the Russian proposal for a temporary and limited ceasefire is aimed at delaying sanctions from the United States.According to the president, for Russia, a ceasefire is “simply a matter of a small pause in the war.”
