Volodymyr Zelenskyy Discussed Food Security Issue with the President of Kenya

In the framework of his participation in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of Kenya William Ruto.

The Head of State praised William Ruto’s participation in the Peace Summit and his principled position in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Thank you for your active participation in the Summit. We began to discuss the issue of food security, which is very important for both our countries,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian leader highlighted the importance of the Kenyan President’s co-chairing the “Food Security and Freedom of Navigation” thematic panel of the Peace Summit.

The leaders discussed the development of Ukrainian-Kenyan relations, agricultural export projects and Kenya’s potential role in establishing hubs in African ports for Ukrainian grain.
