The state budget of Ukraine for 2022 provides for 17 billion hryvnias for engineering arrangement of borders with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
This was reported by UA with reference to a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.
Answering the question of the People’s Deputy Serhiy Rakhmanin, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal noted that the engineering arrangement of the state borders with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus will be financed.
“On October 21, we approved the concept of the state targeted law enforcement program for the arrangement of the state border. Relevant resolutions have been developed, according to which in 2022 funding for this program is mainly planned through the Ministry of Infrastructure – UAH 15.9 billion, and through the State Border Guard Service – 1 billion hryvnias. In addition, by government decisions of October 15 and 24, UAH 205 million was allocated from the reserve fund. Of these, 175 million hryvnias are for strengthening more vulnerable areas of Ukraine’s border with the Republic of Belarus and UAH 30 million are for strengthening the border with Russia” – Shmyhal explained.
