The ongoing conflict in Iran has created a unique window for Ukraine, allowing its combat experience to be transformed into strategic industrial and security solutions for the Middle East. Ukrainian expertise in intercepting strike drones, protecting energy infrastructure, and deploying mobile defense systems is now in high demand across the Gulf region.

Ukraine is increasingly seen not just as a recipient of military assistance, but as a provider of tested defense solutions — from drone-interceptor systems and electronic warfare to operational doctrines for defending critical infrastructure. This shift opens opportunities for long-term partnerships, joint production, and the integration of Ukraine’s defense technologies into regional security frameworks.

For Kyiv, the challenge is to offer comprehensive defense ecosystems rather than one-off sales, ensuring that cooperation strengthens partners’ security without compromising Ukraine’s own defense capabilities. Success here could elevate Ukraine from a frontline defender to a key player in regional security networks.
