The United States will continue to impose sanctions on Nord Stream 2.
This was stated by State Department spokesman Ned Price, UA writes.
He stressed that the United States Department of State opposes the pipeline and considers it a harmful geopolitical project in Russia.
Price noted that “this is a bad agreement for Ukraine, this is a bad agreement for Europe”.
“We will continue to investigate legal entities that engage in potentially sanctioned activities in accordance with our commitment. We are talking about the implementation of the law on the protection of Europe’s energy security. “Be assured that we will abide by this law, continuing to demonstrate our opposition to Nord Stream 2 and our commitment to Ukraine’s energy security” – he said.
The day before, the State Department imposed new sanctions on Nord Stream-2.
To remind, on November 16, the Federal Agency for Networks of Germany suspended the certification of the pipeline due to non-compliance with German law.
