President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that at least 83 people were injured as a result of Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine. Following the launch of an “Oreshnik” missile at Bila Tserkva, the Ukrainian president called the Russian leadership “inadequate”, UATV English reports.

He said this in a video address.

Zelenskyy described the Russian massive strike as severe, particularly because of the use of a significant amount of ballistic weaponry — 36 missiles.

Since the night, rescuers and all necessary services have been working everywhere they are needed today. Everyone injured in this strike will receive assistance. This is our duty, and the state will fulfill it. I am grateful to everyone working on the ground after the strikes to help our people. As of now, it is known that at least 83 people have been injured since the beginning of the day. Unfortunately, there are fatalities. My condolences to the families and loved ones.

It was a heavy strike — 90 missiles of various types were used, including a large number of ballistic missiles — 36. There were also 600 drones. Unfortunately, not all ballistic missiles were intercepted. The largest number of hits was recorded in Kyiv, and Kyiv itself was the main target of this Russian attack, the President of Ukraine stated.

At the same time, according to him, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is “defeating residential buildings” with these missiles.

“Putin can’t even pronounce the word ‘hooray’ properly anymore — he mumbles it — yet he is still defeating residential buildings with his missiles. Three Russian missiles against a water supply facility, he burned down a market, damaged dozens of residential buildings, and several ordinary schools. He launched his ‘Oreshnik’ against Bila Tserkva. Truly inadequate people,” Zelenskyy said.

In this way, he mocked Putin over a video in which, during a meeting with officials, the Russian leader called for support for Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine and urged everyone to say “hooray” three times, but pronounced it unclearly.

Zelenskyy called for today’s strike not to go without consequences for Russia. He therefore emphasized the need for decisions from the United States, Europe, and other countries “so that this old Oreshnik in Moscow pronounces the word ‘peace.’”

As previously reported, the main target of Russia’s massive overnight attack on May 24 was Kyiv. Damage was recorded in every district of the city. Overall, 62 people were reported injured and one person killed in the capital. Other regions of the country also came under attack.
