Foreign Minister Kuleba is going on the first in the history of Ukrainian diplomacy tour of African countries

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba is going on a tour of African countries. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that this will be the first in the history of Ukrainian diplomacy for the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to tour African countries, it will take place from October 3 to 12, inclusive.

Kuleba will start the tour with a visit to Senegal.

“The tour is an important element of the African strategy developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and a “road map” for the development of our state’s relations with the region,” the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

The key topic of the negotiations will be the consolidation of political support for Ukraine from the countries of the Global South against the background of Russian aggression, in particular, the latest attempt to annex Ukrainian territories.

The topic of strengthening Ukraine’s role as a guarantor of world food security, deepening cooperation in the field of education, promoting Ukrainian IT products, and creating new opportunities for Ukrainian exports using the capabilities of the Nazovni system will also be discussed.

“The minister’s tour will also be a preparation for holding a large-scale Ukraine-Africa conference,” added the Cabinet of Ministers.
